The Void
So .. You think you've got it all together
Your life is full and busy
All in control and all mapped out
But still, something is missing
So you drown the silence with TV shows
And find them so mundane
Relationships and many friends
Yet, you're feeling rather drained
There's a whispering; a knocking
Within your heart so deep
It's quiet gentle call
Seems to make you want to weep
But what is there to weep about
When you have all you could want
What is that nagging feeling
That in your heart does haunt
You've heard some talk of God
And His Son who died for sin
Could this possibly be the answer
To that aching deep within
Open up that gate; that wall
That you've built around your heart
He only needs a tiny space
To make a brand new start
Whisper out the name of Him
Who calls you in the dark
Let your heart sigh out that name
Jesus ... feel that spark?
His love and mercy will start to fill
That void you've tried to hide
And once inside, His promise says
He'll never leave your side
Oh! the peace a heart can find
The love that knows no bounds
When Jesus starts a work in you
He'll NEVER let you down!
