Watch What I Will Do
The walls are high with iron bars
This prison cell you've built
Your heart is hard; your tears stopped up
To protect from pain and guilt
I know your pain and see your heart
You are My precious child
I know you really want My love
But in fear, you're bound inside
I'll stand here knocking as long as it takes
With My arms open wide for you
Just let Me in one tiny bit
And watch what I will do
Don't be afraid of Me, dear one
I long to set you free
Just take but one brick from that wall
Just come and ask of Me
Let Me hold you gently
And replace that pain with grace
My mercy is unending
Just seek Me from that place
I'll stand here knocking as long as it takes
With My arms open wide for you
Just let Me in one tiny bit
And watch what I will do
The walls will fall and bars will break
My peace will fill your soul
Just take that first step t'ward Me, child
And I will make you whole
I won't expect too much from you
No more than you can bear
My yoke is easy; My burden light
For you, My child, I care
I'll stand here knocking as long as it takes
With My arms open wide for you
I died this way, with outstretched arms
That's how much I have ALWAYS loved you!
