This is for God's Glory
Lord, I apologize right now for any shortcomings in this writing. You know me better than I know myself; you know that this is being written for Your glory, to help others along their way to You.
THANK YOU, Lord, for your amazing blessings, unsurpassing grace and mercy, awesome might, beauty, majesty, and most of all Your son Jesus Christ, who you brought to show us how to live.
I am a disaster. I am nothing without the love of Jesus and the mercy of God.
I have been a terrible youth, adult, spouse, parent and person of the community. I have said and done so many stupid, hurtful and negligent things that I can't even remember them all. I am still selfish to the core, and struggle with that every moment of every day.
The things I have said and done make me entirely worthy of a terrible beating. If I observed someone else making the same mistakes, I would desperately want to stop them immediately. THAT is where the love of the LORD comes in, and Jesus saves us from ourselves.
Heaven is not a place for human nature. I deserve a good beating for my transgressions; Jesus already took my beating for me, so that I might share a portion of Heaven someday. Jesus came to teach us how to live and behave and worship and, loving and living according to God's will - not ours - spend eternity in Heaven instead of in the hell we created for ourselves.
God has given us EVERYTHING we need to live fulfilled lives, including a Rescuer to save us from ourselves! Our schemes and plans can't hold a candle to the original design! God's wisdom is infinite; ours seems like a good idea at the time, at best. Look up! Think up! Lay down your egos and lift up your hearts to Jesus! Listen to what he has to say about how to get along with one another!
Whatever it is that you're giving up, you'll be glad you did! I have spent years overcoming and repairing a lifetime of damages, and hopefully will spend the rest of my existence worshipping the LORD, who has allowed me the grace and peace that only He can. It takes a leap of faith, to be sure, but you will be rewarded in ways you never thought of, or never thought possible, when you give it all up for Jesus!
Have you ever 'gone out on a limb' for some scheme or plan of your own? This is no scheme. This is Truth, Peace, Joy and Love, and absolutely worth pursuing with all your heart and soul.
Thank you, God, for your infinite love, wisdom, mercy, grace, patience and Your Son Jesus Christ. Thank you, Jesus, for your unsurpassing love and light in showing us what humanitarian love is supposed to be, and loving us so much that you went through it all FOR US, to bring us back to God, where we belong.

11 "Blessed are you when people make fun of you and hurt you because of me. You are also blessed when they tell all kinds of evil lies about you because of me. 12 Be joyful and glad. Your reward in heaven is great. In the same way, people hurt the prophets who lived long ago.
