Good morning and thanks for your question. I'm not certain what specifically you want to know about Cain and his family so I will paraphrase the story from the Bible and try to explain it as best I can. Everything we know about Cain comes from Chapter 4 of the Book of Genesis, very early the Bible. Cain is never mentioned again in the Bible after that chapter except for quick references made to him in some of the New Testament letters. Adam and Eve were the first man and woman whom God created. Cain, along with his brother Abel, were their two sons. Both Cain and Abel presented offerings to God, however Abel put more consideration and effort into his offering than Cain so the Lord looked upon Abel with favor. God explained to Cain that when he did well, he too would be looked upon with favor, but that he needed to be careful to avoid sin, which is always lying in wait for us. In anger and jealousy, Cain lured his brother out into the field where he killed him. God questioned Cain about what he had done and Cain tried to pretend that he had no idea what God was talking about. As punishment, God cursed Cain so that he would no longer be able to produce good crops from the land and would become a wanderer. Cain then left his family and went east and founded the city of Enoch. We don't know anything about Cain after that, and we don't know if he ever saw his family again. After Cain departed, Adam and Eve were able to have another son whom they named Seth. This early story in the Bible is an important one for us because it illustrates many of God's qualities such as his omnipotence, his justice and his mercy. He rightfully preferred Abel's offering over Cain's, for it is proper for God to expect us to give Him the very best we have to offer. This story also demonstrates that God knows everything and we cannot hide from Him. Cain pretends that he knows nothing about the murder, but quickly discovers that God sees everything we do. Finally, God demonstrates His mercy in this story, for he surely could have punished Cain much more severely than he did, but showed mercy on Him and let Him live out the rest of His life. I hope I have answered all your questions about Cain and his family. Please don't hesitate to ask if there is anything else you would like to know.
