Welcome, and thanks for your question.
This may seem obvious, but one to look at is to say that Jesus was a Christian - the first, and the model for the rest of us.
Let me elaborate. Jesus was a Jew by birth, and was raised in that religion. Because of the way he taught with wisdom and authority, many of his followers called Him "Rabbi". He followed the Jewish law, and taught from the Jewish scriptures.
However, despite that fact that He was a Jew, he radically changed that religion to such an extent (by being the long waited-for Messiah), I would rather say that he "fulfilled" Judaism, and in fulfilling it, started a new "Christian" faith.
