Addictions

I am 17 and a junior in highschool. I am currently "addicted" to smokless tobaco and its really hurting me spiritually. It's not the fear of cancer or anything like that, that makes me want to quit it's that i just want to live free of this chain so i will be able to move forward on my path. I just ask for your prayers and support. I have tried to quit countless times and have thrown away so many cans but it seems like they just come back around. thank you

You are insightful to be aware you should break this addiction at so young an age. I am pleased to support you with prayers, and will pray for your bright and free future ahead of you.

Father God,

We thank You for Your grace and mercy. We thank You that it is Your goodness that brings about change in our lives. We lift up Guitarfreak915 to You right now. We ask that You remove the desire for tobacco from this child now in the name of Jesus. Turn this desire to hate as he casts this burden upon You and he walks away free. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

May your desire for Jesus be stronger,
than for anything else in this world.

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus. Hebrews 12:2

"TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS"
(a Hymn)

O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
Theres a light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free!

Refrain

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.

Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
Over us sin no more hath dominion
For more than conquerors we are!

Refrain

His Word shall not fail youHe promised;
Believe Him, and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!

Refrain
------------------------------
("I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
Philippians 4:13)
God bless you!

The worst thing taht can happen is if you carry on this addiction when you grow up, as a child you hvae the power to break the addiction. Ask God for guidance ans surrond your self with positive people who want to see you loose the addiction. Prayer is the best thing.

Dear Saint,
I am so happy to see that you are asking for prayer to help you break this addiction. You are so young to be wise enough to want to end this cycle of addiction. Satan has come to steal, kill and destory. Stay prayerful and call on the name of Jesus. I am praying for you.
