Defiant Daughter

Posted by an anonymous user on 5/12/2008 12:32:19 PM  - Print This  - Email This

My oldest Daughter is 21.
She is very defiant! (She is beautiful on the outside, but not on the inside.)
She is also going overboard on tanning, tatoo's, piercing, extreme hair color
and styles, etc. The thing that is most concerning is her obsession with being
very thin. (My other Daughter and I think that we have heard her throwing up in the bathroom, possibly to loose weight.) I spoke to her about this and she denied it.
I have also talked to the Doctor about this, and she said she is just thin!
She never used to be like this. She also hardly eats, then after a few days she
is eats everything in sight! My prayer is that she would 'fear God' in a healthy way, honor her Parents, see herself as God sees her, take her eyes off of herself and onto the Lord, find herself (not in a hair color bottle, etc) but in Christ. (Lord please help!)

Hello - I will pray for you and your daughter. It is sad that we sometimes need to come to the brink of destruction before we turn to Jesus but, it does impress upon us the magnitude of His love and mercy. I will pray she finds true beauty in the Lord.

Father,

We thank You for Your grace and mercy. We lift up this rebellious daughter to You now in the name of Jesus. Lord, we ask that You put a donkey in her path. Let the donkey tell her she is headed down he wrong path, turn her around and back to Your love and the love and safety of her family. Cover her with more grace and keep her from hurt and danger. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Dear precious saint,
The Lord said in his word that you and your whole household shall be saved. Beleive. Trust that God is still in control. I understand your pain about your daughter. My son(eldest child) twenty-one is living a lifestyle that is dangerous and not pleasing to the Lord. He is a precious child, but he has currently lost his way. Live a Godly life in front of her and continue to call on Jesus to give you strength to weather this storm. And this too shall pass. Amen.
