My husband and I just got married a year ago. He has a lot of financial debt and we are struggling to find the right decisions. We are wanting to buy a house this summer, however we are unsure if it is the right decision or not. My husband and I both are very stressed about this whole issue and I am just worried it is going to come between us. Please just pray the right thing works out for us. I need some advice and encouragement.

First, stop stressing about it. Next, depending on the amount of debt and the type (secured vs unsecured), I would suggest you look into debt settlement.Payout is usually 12-36 months. It should be paid out before you apply for the loan. Debt settlement has less negative impact than bankruptcy on your credit score. If you've been on your jobs or in the same line of work for 2 years, I would suggest an FHA loan. You would have a fixed rate with escrows. Your mortgage payment can't be more than 29 percent of your monthly income. And ideally, all your bills including the mortgage payment shouldn't be more than 41 percent of your monthly income.
I offer this advice in love. I was a certified/licensed mortgage officer for a few years. I am now a licensed title agent. I am an independent closing agent. I look at mortgage documents everyday.
Realisically, with God all things are possible. He CAN make it happen. The Word of God says, if two of you agree on anything, He will make it happen.
There are spiritual principles that apply for everything. Give and it shall be given. Being faithful over little, etc. God IS good and He is ABLE. I will pray that He guides you in the right direction. If you want more information about credit issues and obtaining a mortgage, you can email me at closeronthemove@yahoo.com I don't do mortgages anymore, but have loads of knowledge on this subject. Be blessed.
