Restoration Of Marriage And Wife's Heart

Please pray for my wife's (Carol) heart to be softened and walls to be to be torn down through Jesus' love. Ask that all evil influences of the flesh and spirit be removed that are supporting this divorce. Pray for our 10 year old daughter, Brianna. The court date is soon and my heart is heavy, please ask that this burden be lifted from me. Please pray that all issues and Carol's new direction in life be given to Jesus and for him to guide her paths, heal her heart, mind and soul.

Lord,
We thank You that when we can't pray, You hear our hearts. Father, hear this husband's heart right now. Prick his wife's heart and draw her to You. Create in her a clean, forgiving heart. Restore her to her family and raise her up to be the woman of God You created her to be. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for your prayers; we need them. I'm still standing with the Lord and praying for my wife to give her heart, mind and soul to Jesus. Things have been up and down, but God is taking care of me. I believe the final court date is in September, I don't know if this was from God for more time to work on her heart or not. I'm praying for my wife to turn to God with a broken and repentant heart and then to come back to our marriage. Please continue to pray for us, this burden is too much for me...I try to give it all to God.

Hi Dayton - you have a brother in Christ who will not forget you, Brianna and Carol. I hope you will read Hero of the Story (located in the Encouragement section of this site). This Devotional made me think about the plight of all those going through these difficult trials. I hope it helps you.

Hi Dayton, I pray that Lord Jesus will engulf your family in his love washing away every barrier of resentment, guilt, hurt and past issues. As his word says that 'Today i do a new thing...' he will do a new thing in your family by renuiting you and your wife. The court can set any date they want to seperate but Thank you Lord that you have set a date to unite the family and therby break every yoke of the devil. We believe that its matter of days when we will see your new thing happen in our brother's life. We thank you in advance for doing the miracle...in Jesus name, Amen

I am experiencing much the same, but without the child being involved.
I believe that God is doing this for a reason. The Lord hates divorce and will work, IN HIS TIME, to bring wayward spouses back to the covenant between the two spouses and God.
I believe this in my heart, as must you. Faith is absolute or it is nothing at all. During the hard times, remember that through HIM all things are possible. In the meantime, pray for your spouse and your child, as I will, as well as praying for patience and for the Lord to open your eyes to any changes he finds necessary in you.
