MY FEELING ON WHAT HAPPENS AFTER WE DIE IS OUR SOUL GOES TO HEAVEN,AND I KNOW OTHER HERE FEEL THE SAME,BUT I ALWAYS RUN INTO SCRIPTURE THAT MAKES ME QUESTION THIS. DO WE SLEEP TILL THE JESUS COMES AGAIN,THEN HE RAISES US OR,DO OUR SPIRITS GO TO HIM AND OUR SHELL SEEPS,NOT SURE I'M SEARCHING FOR MORE ON THIS,THANKS

We don't die.:) But I understand what you mean about the scriptures. I believe that when we "fall asleep", our souls go to heaven right then and our corruptible bodies, which are buried or burned, go back to dust. Then, when Jesus returns, those whose bodies have gone back to dust get new uncorruptible bodies, while those still living bodies are changed and we all meet up with Jesus in the sky. We "fall asleep" because Jesus already died for us. We don't die.(John 5:24) We really have eternal life. Man is appointed once to die. We died with Jesus. We were raised again with Jesus. We are already seated in heavenly places with Jesus.

I ponder that alot. My family and I discuss this as well our Christian friends . . . . .everyone has their own ideas or ways of interpreting scripture.

My son said that sometimes, we are just not meant to be given a clear answer . . . . . so I accept that. My own person belief lies towards being with God immediately in heaven . . . .but maybe that is my wishful thinking, or reading so many near death experiences.

We close our eyes here and open them immediately in the presence of God. There is no "holding" place.

hi its loril i forgot my password so i had to use a different user name anyway i think we all come across a scripture that makes us think about thatbut the over all tells u as mrspiggy says close your eyes here and open them immediately with the lord.our bedys rest or sleep but are souls good with god as we die and are spirits leave aare body that were go but are bodys rest till jesus comes and reunites us.
