I had intended to do a single article on prayer, but it got really big and so I've decided to break it up into a series. I have complete "How To Pray" and had previously done "God's Response to Prayer." I am about half done "Pray To Whom? Father, Son or Holy Spirit?" I am also contemplating an article that discusses whether or not it's acceptable to be angry with God in prayer, or to pray for God to punish our enemies. I will have to give those two some thought, but I think that the Psalms clearly show that the answer to both questions is yes. Finally, I need to do an article on praying for God to intervene in our lives. How does this correspond with our faith in God and acceding to his will? That will be a tough one, and certainly there is no overall consensus on that topic.

There are some who feel we should not pray for anything except God's will, for why would we want anything else? Yet, God's plans will be done, and nothing we do can stop Him. If we ask for something, does that mean we don't have faith, for if it were good and right, he would have given it to us? These are some of the tough questions I will look at.

I've started this article, but I have to be honest, I'm struggling with it. I'm going to really take my time with this, read the scripture and pray more than I have ever done for other articles.

Do you want to start a discussion in the theology area? With the last debate, I know we didn't get anywhere because we both had pretty well entrenched views, but maybe a discussion will help work out some of the issues you're having difficulty with. Maybe I can help?

After much contemplation and prayer, I finally finished the article. I'm comfortable with the outcome, and I think I was able to find the direction God was leading. I hope you enjoy.
