Explaination About To Whom Should We Pray

I believe Father, son and the holy spirit. but one of my office colleague she is a Jahovah Witness. She made me in confussion that how you believe in trinity if there is one God how can you believe in Trinity? Trinity word is not there in bible anywhere? so please guide me how to explain her. Because she said i believe in Jesus and holy power but these are different how can you say that it is one. so please help me to come out of these confusion.

And tell me how to pray and to whom should i pray i totally confuse now.

The Trinity is certainly one of the more confusing teachings in Christianity! Though the Bible never uses the word Trinity, it does contain numerous passages that tell us that there is one God who exists as three persons the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Old Testament teaches us that the Father is God, and then in the New Testament, we learn that the Son (Jesus) and the Spirit are also God (there are some references to the Son and Spirit in the Old Testament as well). Yet, in addition, there are many passages throughout the Bible that state that there is one God. Yes, this is confusing, I admit, but it is a core teaching of mainstream Christianity.
