What Is God's View On Joining Organized Religion

I'm finding my way back to Jesus our Lord and Savior. I want to be rebatized but the organization that wants to do this also wants me to sign papers saying that I have joined thier church. I do not want to join any certian organization I just want to be reborn and live my life according to his word. Please help me see which way God need me to go.

Hi, welcome and thanks for your question. I think it's wonderful that you are rededicating your life to God!

This issue of signing papers seems very odd to me, because becoming a member of a church is something that one does when they have reached a point of comfort and familiarity. It is something one does when they feel at home in their church. It should never, ever be forced on someone, nor should it be attached to baptism, which is a separate thing from membership. I have never heard of such a requirement. This might not be the right church for you, but I believe the right church is out there, and will be a great blessing in your spiritual life. Don't give up, keep praying and searching!
