Basically what the title says....

Why didn't Jesus come these says when we could put movies of him raising people to life on our phones and You Tube and very quickly the whole world would know. And more importantly scientists would probably be able to prove that the stuf he was doing was legit

Pete,

Thanks for your question - its a good one!

There are a few things I can say about this. First, if you trust that Jesus is Lord, then you know that God the Father is perfect and that He is in charge. He makes no mistakes and there is nothing He does not know.

From this, we can deduce that no matter what the reasons, the timing for Jesus' arrival was perfect. There could not have been a more appropriate time. If there were, God would have known this and selected it.

I can speculate on why it would have been very difficult for people to accept Jesus if He had come in 2008. We've become a very arrogant species which thinks it knows everything and can do anything. We've lost respect for nature and worship science and technology. Anything that seems miraculous has some scientific explanation which everyone will swallow, even if it's more ridiculous that the most basic supernatural explanation.

Let me use the example of David Blane, who does the incredible street magic. When I see videos of him on You Tube, I am still in awe of his ability and talent. But I don't think there is anyone alive who really believes that David Blane is some sort of god or prophet.

But what if he claimed to be, and backed it up with some "miracles"? Would anyone believe him, or would they rightly call him crazy? Would it help his reputation any if he appeared on You Tube?

Now, what if Jesus himself came and performed miracles on You Tube? Do you think anyone would believe it?

(I realize this argument cuts both ways, and provides ammo for those who claim that Jesus was nothing more than a skilled illusionist, but I'll save that argument for another day).

Next, realize that many, many people saw His miracles, but did not believe in Jesus.

What this all means is that people will believe only if the Holy Spirit opens their hearts and minds. If they are open, they need very little evidence. For one whose mind is closed, no amount of evidence will suffice.

LOL...But honestly speaking He is here!!! And always remember that. Some people already spend so much time trying their best 2 prove the bible is a lie. Well I am not one of them..I don't argue with it. The word is the word. Point blank!! But just think..if He was here (physically) on Earth..there would not be a such thing as us being forgiven. He died 4 us...arose from the dead to prove to us(His and His Father's word)!! Ain't that wonderful!!! But as followers we can put Him on utube and so forth...by doing what He expects of us toward one another. Love each other..spread His word..etc. God Bless
