Who Is Jesus To You?

Hi Folks,

I am new here and don't know anything about this site. I am looking for people that are serious about living their life in a christian way. The question for discussion is: Who is Jesus to you?. I am elder on session in a Presbyterian church. Part of our summer assignments is to discuss with people both inside of our church and outside our church this question. We are to bring what we learn back to to our first session meeting in the Fall. So there you have it.

This is what Jesus means to me: I study what Jesus taught and hope that I interpret his teachings correctly so that I may apply them to my life. In doing so, I hope that I can contribute in a positive way to the welfare of mankind. I see Jesus as my "light" to help me find my way in the darkness of this world.

Who is Jesus to me? Allow me my understanding to help you and your understanding or comprehension. The Creator (God), revealed Himself to the creation (us) in the form of the creation in order that we might be released from the bondage of error (sin). The Creator God is the Unequalled Absolute, at for a short time here in the material universe, that which is bound by time and space, the physical body of a man, (Jesus) possessed the essence of God, which is spirit, for a short time. The physical world through evolution does not provide for a spiritual capacity and therefore, we are seen as spiritual being in a physical body for the purpose of the curriculum of the soul. (That which is an external reality.) One need not to believe in Jesus to be a God-conscious individual, one must seek with earnest the Creator in order to secure personality survival by the indwelling fragment of the Creator imparted to said individual. The physical body of Jesus of Nazareth is dead and gone, yet His spirit lives on in the circle of time, that which is the Creator. Jesus of Nazareth can mean a lot of things to a lot of people, but the important thing is the level of acceptance in one’s life that is allowed. Know this, Religion describes the activities of man, faith describes one’s belief in their Creator… Live well, laugh a lot and do good. Lee

This is who Jesus is to me:

Jesus is the Genesis 1 God. He created me and this earth. He came here and saved us from ourselves. He is my greatest friend, and I know that he loves me more than I could ever imagine. My relationship with Him is a personal one. He isn't just some good moral teacher. He's more than that. He is God.

I merely answered the question, ‘Who is Jesus’ and do like your view of his coming here to save us from ourselves. Who He is and what He is left to the individual that perceives Him, to what degree He is enthroned in our hearts is unique…

He is my Creator, my Redeemer, my Sustainer. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. My ever-loving Father, my ever-faithful Friend. He is the bright Light shining through the darkness of the world. He is the one who takes the burden from my back and enables me to walk freely with Him. He is the one who has captured my heart and freed my soul.
