Visiting With Friends

I thought I would start a new discussion for just visiting with each other and see how we are each doing with our problems. I am still healing after affair and am better with my husband, but sometimes I dream about HER that she is still in the picture. I know that she isn't, but I can't talk to him about it at all. My kids have accepted everything that has happened because they know it is over, buit sometimes I feel cheated in life that he was always there for major events, but not always for the minor events. Anyway, let me know hwat is going on with each of you as we gear up for Spring and the Easter season. A time for new beginnings. 1recorder

Since this is a new discussion, just friends talking, I think we should leave the hurt in the past and focus on the now.

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1

I know that you are not part of a faith-based church, but that does not mean that you can' have faith in God. Do you know that satan brings negative thoughts and dreams to us? He does. He is trying to steal your faith. You fight back by believing in and trusting God. God, our Father, has said in His Word (Bible), that He will not withhold any good thing from us. Having a peaceful sleep is a good thing. Here is a good prayer for sleep:

" Father, I ask that You give me peaceful sleep tonight and keep me safe according to Psalms 4:8. I ask that You give Your beloved sleep tonight and keep Your hands on me while I sleep and speak to my heart. I ask in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."

Pray about everything. For God is faithful to His word. As for feeling cheated, don't worry about it. God has promised to restore the years that the locust have eatened. Just praise Him for NOW and enjoy NOW. He wants you to be full of joy and you can't be if you continue to focus on THEN. You are blessed among women. There are so many wives that would love to be in your NOW. Knowing that it's over and their marriage is being restored and renewed.

Much agape to you.

You need to talk to your husband so he can understand your feelings, and know how to pray, let God deal with the rest He us in control, i believe we do need to talk about how we feel and what hurts us we can get great words of advice from people He uses people to get his message across, i know that for myself i don't talk to every one about everything, but i have been set free from a hurt because of something someone said it's not good to store all those things up, as for the woman let it go pray for her don't let it all hurt you twice, God bless. He will restore

Oh you guys always know the right thing to say. It is a beautiful day out today and my heart is singing. Nothing will get me down today. Tonight we are going out to dinner with my sister, my son and his wife and my 2 beautiful granddaughters to celebrate my daughter in laws birthday. I am looking forward to that. It also sounds like a beautiful week end coming up also. Atleast some warmer weather is on the way. I live in the midwest where it can get cold at times.

My sister's close friend (Carol) that I had mentioned in an earlier message did pass away. She had suffered a lot and was ready to go. We will be attending her funeral on Wednesday. She was loved by many and will be missed for her strong faith and winning smile.
Her husband passed a few years ago and she had a grandson killed in a car accident so I hope she is reunited with them.

I will be praying for safe travel for you and your sister. May the God of all mercy comfort your sister and Carol's love ones.

I am anxious for the glorious Spring weather to hit. It seems as if we all feel better when the weather is nice and things are blossoming out. I am looking forward to planting flowers etc. I want everyone to feel great about themselves as I am slowly beginning to. Self esteem is a hard thing to acquire. I work at it, but then you fall back sometimes. I admire self confident people daily. I wish I knew the secret for acquiring it. Any suggestions among you guys?

1recorder,

I listen to a lot of preachers on television. There is one, Bill Winston, who is teaching on the subject, "The Law of Confession", that I believe will build confidence in any believer. He basically says, we must confess the Word of God. Say to and about ourselves what God says. This will require reading your Bible to find these "life-affirming" criptures. One of my favorites is "I am the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus." Another, "I am a royal preisthood." And, "I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me." There are many more that when confessed on a daily basis will "build up" your self- worth. Once you realize how important you are to the Creator of the universe, you realize you are somebody and you will behave as such. Not arrogant, but self- assured. God loves YOU. He created YOU in His own image. YOU are awesome in His eyes. He loved YOU so much, He sent His One and Only Son to pay for YOUR sins. YOU MUST be SOMEBODY!!

By the way, my tulips were starting to come up (a sure sign of spring), then it snowed on them. I am so ready for warm weather, so that I too, can get out in the yard. I am planning to do much this year. I got bulbs to plant and want to try tomatoes again this year. They didn't do well last year.
