I would like to share something with you all.
As I was driving in to work I came upon a slippery section of the street at a traffic light. I watched the truck in front ome swerve and I started to pray a I braked. My prayer was, Lord, stop this car and don't let me hit anyone. As I braked, my car started to swerve towards on-coming traffic. I prayed harder, in the spirit. Slowly, my car straightened out and came to a stop about 10 inches from the car ahead of me. As I uttered my Thank you, Jesus, I heard and felt the impact of the car behind me slam into my little car. When Ilooked in the rear-view mirror, I expected to see the driver in my back seat. But, when I exited my car, there were two men standing behind my car shaking their heads. There was not a scratch on my car.
He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or think. And in this case, above all I didn't answer or think. It had not crossed my mind that I could be hit.
Ever get the answer to an unasked prayer?

Every week, I go to help out at my church. Folding bullitens, addressing envelopes, whatever is needed. Yesterday, I was telling a couple of people about the accident and one lady who is on the prayer team told me that they had been praying for me that morning. God is sooo Faithful. I was again reminded of the scripture, "Did I not tell you that you would see the glory of God if you believe?" This confirmed my belief that what we do for others, God makes happen for us. When we pray for others, He causes someone to pray for us. BTW, I'm on the church prayer team, too. I missed morning prayer at church. But, I was praying for someone on this site that morning. Keep praying Saints, you're investing in the kingdom of God and He pays HUGE dividends!!

I am so happy to hear of your miricle! I am glad that no one was hurt - the person who hit you must have an angel who loves him out there as well! I am not surprised that God spared you - you are such a good voice to spread His FAITH. Your story, your actions, your belief are all inspirational! His good will continues to be in your life daily.

Renew,
It is strange that you would say the man who hit me had an angel who loves him. I asked the Holy Spirit what it was about after I was back in my car and what came to me was that the accident was to prevent the man from some danger that was ahead. Since he was "stalled" by hitting me, he missed the danger that the enemy had planned for him had he not hit me. I did not mention it as I was awaiting confirmation. I take your words as that confirmation. Thank you for your faithfulness. It still amazes me how God works things out for good. But I am learning that if we make ourselves available to Him, He will use us. Thank you for being available and attuned to His voice.

Wow that was something. My beloved brother was killed in a car accident a year ago. I like to think that he walks among us. What to you guys think? I had knee surgery a month after he passed and I felt so strongly that he was with me. I miss him terribly, but feel his presence at times. When his family was seeking the perfect spot to lay him to rest, they looked down and found a dime on the ground. They decided that was a sign. When I was packing my things from my night stand to take for surgery, there was a dime. My nephew (his son) was upset one day that he had a flat tire in winter, and looked down and there was a dime in the snow. It has been eerie at times, but we are keeping track of the "dime" stories.

I am sorry about the loss of your brther. But, I don't think he walks among us. It does not line up with the scriptures. The Bible says absent from the body, present with the Lord. Perhaps your brother's angels are watching over your family. Do the dimes have these words on them? In God We Trust. Was your brother a believer?

I am sorry to hear about the lose of your brother, but I have to agree with mrspiggy. I was hit by a car in 1982. I flew 50' and landed on my head. I was in a coma for a few days, then came out of it not having any memory of my life or people before. My past was gone. I had to relearn every thing over in life, which was a struggle in so many ways, but my best friend I grew up with was also hit by the car too. The damage to her body didn't seem as bad as mine, but in '83 they found out she had cancer to her body where the car hit her, on her right side of the body. She died in 1984. My relationship with God has been a very long, good & trying for me. I love God, & he knows it. But with death of my friend was not easy for me for years. When her body couldn't fight off the cancer, she knew her life was coming to an end. She loved God & had amazing faith with him. She knew she was going to HIM. I do not believe she is here, my memory's of us and just the fact that I had a her in my life for 15 years keeps my mind at peace. I had to learn this in life, it just wasn't like she died & I had peace, it was letting go & letting God show me to having peace. This may sound funny or weird to some people, but if I held on to her and thinking she was still with me, then I would think I was playing tug-a-war with God. I let go of her because she belongs to God, & because I love her so much, and I love God more, I had to let her go & let me be free of the pain. I would never want anybody to want to hold me back from God. God is my reason, my purpose, my guide, my light, my pure love.

I don't know...what if good people on earth can return as a gardian angel? I know the bible, I know what I read, but I cannot recall everything. Did Jesus say we are gone forever? I knew a friend that passed (in a car accident too) and within days, strange things happened to many mourning, ligths being turned on and such. What if this was them communicating that they are still living, but not with us, with God. What if it was just a different angel reassuring the peace of a friend. Why when parents pass, living in the Glory of God, would God not allow them to watch over the ones we love and comfort them? If He is so caring, doesn't He also care for the ones we care about? If He works in the lives of our loved ones when we pray for them here on earth, wouldn't He also allow us to pray for them when we are with Him? Or if not directly with our contact, is He sending peace through his messangers? I don't know...does God allow our loved ones to become our angels or does he send others.
I believe that when we pass, we are united with God, but also our loved ones. I have a firm belief that my dear grandmother went to see her parents, her friends, her 2 husbands who passed before her, her siblings, but most of all I knew she wished to see her daughter who was taken at 18. I cannot fathom losing my children, any of them, before me, but I hope to believe that they would be there for me in my eternal life. Does the bible say differently?

I don't think we come back as anything, He has what He needs set in place and has done so before He created the world, but look forward to what others have to add, it would be nice but, things do go on but that's not God we need to be careful of that sort of thing, i think we are reunited with loved ones when Jesus comes back not sure i think it's the rapture then the raising of those that died, either way it will be for ever, so praise God, God bless, looking forward to what others have to say, and God Bless you all, it's a great way to learn

There is so much for us to want to project of when we die or when others we love die, but lets look at what we need to do today. We need to stay in the now. It is written in the Bible, but we always need to stay strong with God, the faith with God, and always keep our faith armor on. What happens when we die or when we die & come back? You will get a million stories. I know, because I am one of them. I have met others that have been to the other side, but it's not so much what you see, it's what you feel & know what is right. Try living with one foot in Heaven & one foot stuck on Earth, no words can ever explain the deep feelings, but all I can say is keep your life SIMPLE. Always keep God number 1, & he will reveal to you what YOU need to know, not what you YOU think you should know. As for losing your life before your children, I understand, I have a child. All I know is if I die tomorrow, God will always be watching over my child. He will guide her when I am no longer on this Earth. I wish you understanding of what God wants from you, and know that signs can be from God because he wants your attention. God wants his children to always have him 1st, no one before him. God Bless you and may his light show you the way

MrsPiggy,
I'm so thankful you are fine after the accident!
Concerning the comments about what happens after death-
Here is one of my favorite verses. (You should really read ALL of the verse, I am just posting starting at 35!)
1 Corinthians 15:35-58
35 But someone might ask, "How are the dead raised? What kind of body will they have?" 36 How foolish! What you plant doesn't come to life unless it dies. 37 When you plant something, it isn't a completely grown plant that you put in the ground. You only plant a seed. Maybe it's wheat or something else. 38 But God gives the seed a body just as he has planned. And to each kind of seed he gives its own body.
39 All earthly creatures are not the same. People have one kind of body. Animals have another. Birds have another kind. Fish have still another.
40 There are also heavenly bodies as well as earthly bodies. Heavenly bodies have one kind of glory. Earthly bodies have another. 41 The sun has one kind of glory. The moon has another kind. The stars have still another. And one star's glory is different from that of another star.
42 It will be like that with bodies that are raised from the dead. The body that is planted does not last forever. The body that is raised from the dead lasts forever. 43 It is planted without honor. But it is raised in glory. It is planted in weakness. But it is raised in power. 44 It is planted as an earthly body. But it is raised as a spiritual body.
Just as there is an earthly body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 It is written, "The first man Adam became a living person."(Genesis 2:7) The last Adam became a spirit that gives life. 46 What is spiritual did not come first. What is earthly came first. What is spiritual came after that. 47 The first man came from the dust of the earth. The second man came from heaven.
48 Those who belong to the earth are like the one who came from the earth. And those who are spiritual are like the one who came from heaven. 49 We are like the earthly man. And we will be like the man from heaven.
50 Brothers and sisters, here is what I'm telling you. Bodies made of flesh and blood can't share in the kingdom of God. And what dies can't share in what never dies.
51 Listen! I am telling you a mystery. We will not all die. But we will all be changed. 52 That will happen in a flash, as quickly as you can wink an eye. It will happen when the last trumpet sounds. The trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised to live forever. And we will be changed.
53 Our natural bodies don't last forever. They must be dressed with what does last forever. What dies must be dressed with what does not die. 54 In fact, that is going to happen. What does not last will be dressed with what lasts forever. What dies will be dressed with what does not die. Then what is written will come true. It says, "Death has been swallowed up. It has lost the battle."(Isaiah 25:8)
55 "Death, where is the battle you thought you were winning?
Death, where is your sting?" (Hosea 13:14) 56 The sting of death is sin. And the power of sin is the law. 57 But let us give thanks to God! He wins the battle for us because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done.
58 My dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Don't let anything move you. Always give yourselves completely to the work of the Lord. Because you belong to the Lord, you know that your work is not worthless. (1 Corinthians 15:35-58)

Hey, anything new with you? I spent the week end tending to my daughter as she had her gall bladder out on Thursday. She is feeling much better now and I hope that will cure her health problems. She stayed at my house with her 2 children and it was nice to have her there, although kind of a relief to get our quiet house back again.
Nothing unusual just wondering how everyone is doing.

Good morning.
I got the call from mysister that the tumor the doctors said she had has disappeared. I'm still giving God praise for that. I also received a belated birthday gift, Rick Warren's book, "God's power to change your life". I'm only 75 pages into it, but it is great. More on it later. There is one sentence I would like to share now: Joy is not the absence of suffering, but the presence of God. That sentence is so awesome to me. We often feel alone in our suffering and it is not so because He is with us at all times. Be blessed.

Ladies,
Please pay attention to this: Things are not what they appear to be.
From the begining: My favorite candy is 3-Musketeers. For years my hubby would bring me a box of "turtles" or "pixies" on February 14th. This started when we were dating. Our first V-day as husband and wife, I told him the truth. I don't really like turtles or pixies. I don't eat caramel. So, he stop giving me candy.
This morning, while I was in the shower, he laid my gift out on the bed. Three blouses (all the same, but different colors) in a bag with a card taped to the front. Also in the bag was a Fannie May box, beautifully wrapped. I hung the blouses in the closet, got dressed for work, and gave the box back to my hubby on my way out the door. He said, "Oh, yea, you don't eat caramel." He looked so disappointed.
I drove to work, fuming inside. I couldn't say a word about it all day because God has made it plain to me that I must never speak in anger to my husband. And His principles state yu get what you say. So, I zipped my lips.
I worked 6 hours, went to the store for ingredients for crab salad (I got a new recipe) and all the while asking God what's up with my hubby that he would deliberately give me candy he knows I don't like. All I got from God was to keep my trap shut.
I got home, went in the bedroom to change into comforts and there was another bag on the bed. Inside was a beautiful leather jacket and the same box of candy. I left everything where it was and went into the kitchen to make the salad. When I moved the grocery bag, there was a note on the table from my hubby. He leaves notes on the table if he's gone out when I get in.
The note read: "The least you could do is open the candy so I could eat some." I ignored the note and made the salad.
After I was done, my best friend called, "What did you get?" she asked. I told her about the morning bag with the blouses and candy. Then I told her about the jacket and candy. (She's a Christian counselor) She's known me for years and knows that I don't eat that kind of candy. She's had to eat a couple of boxes for me before I got married. Anyway, she says, "I don't get it. I've seen that jacket in the store and it is nice." I agreed that the jacket was nice. But, my concern was the candy. Before she could get into her analysis of the situation, my hubby came home and we ended the call. I told him that I had read his note and he could open the candy and eat it if he wanted. He INSISTED that I had to be the one to open it because it was a gift to me.
So, I removed the ribbon and tore off the paper. When I opened the box, you guessed it, there were 4 large 3 Musketeers inside. I have never been so embarrassed in my life. He said, "You really took all the fun out of it." Turns out, he bought a box of pixies, used a razor to remove the paper, put the Musketeers in and re-wrapped. He said it took a while to do. I just praise God that He told me to hold my tongue and I did it!!
This wa brought to you in love. God has a way of giving us what we want IF we will be quiet and wait for His timing. Be blessed women of God. My prayer is that you had a great day in the Lord. I did.

God does have your back Mrs. Piggy!
It's amazing how God, sometimes across great distances, or at times against great odds, pairs us with a so perfect a spouse that the love and the laughs complete a lifetime. When we acknowledge God at work in our marriage and follow His direction - we can accomplish a love that bursts into celebration every day.
Piggy's patience, playfulness and desire to please depict true love!

Yes, 1recoder, I do have a wonderful husband. And I do appreciate him very much. Last week while we were going to lunch, he turned on the radio in the car. Some lady had called in and said, "I have the best husband in the world." I told my husband, "She's lying, because I have the best husband in the world." I do believe in my heart, those words were what caused him to buy candy this year. Be blessed in the name of our Lord and Savior!!

I want to share something else with you all.
Last month I made a donation to Delve Ministries. Within three days of sending the check. I got one in the mail for twice what I sent. It was totally unexpected. God is faithful to His word. "Give and it will be given to you."
This ministry is good ground to sow into.

Arsin,
My post was not about me. It was written to show others the faithfulness of our Lord to His word. All thanks, praise and glory go to Him. We overcome by the words of our testimony and the Blood of Jesus. There are many people who are not aware that God will do what His word says. I feel compelled to let others know that God IS good and He will do what His word says. Not just in biblical days, but TODAY. He is yet upholding His word that was written years ago. He still provides seed to the sower. The Bible states that the eyes of the Lord roam the earth looking for someone He can show Himself faithful to. Someone who will believe Him. I vowed to be that person. And since His word also states, He is no respecter of person, I know that means what He has done for me, He will do for others. It's all about persuading others to trust Him and His word.

Mrspiggy, you are an inspiration to all of us. My sister got a call from her life long friend who has been suffering from ovarian cancer for the past 9 years. She has lived way beyond expectations. Anyway, she called to tell my sister good bye as her body is now shutting down. She has hospice at her home and her children are with her. It is very sad for my sister, but I told her that she will look back and will cherish their final phone call. I told her that I will make the trip with her when the time comes as I do not want her to travel there alone. Pray for her--her first name is Carol. She is ready to meet her savior.

I truly believe to see the goodness of God in the land of the living. I will gladly pray for healing for Carol and that she may see it in the land of the living. It is true that the ultimate healing is to go home to our Savior, but, why should Carol not stay here and inspire others with cancer to believe in His awesome healing power?
