Who Is It For???

Why are there so many churches? I have heard of preachers having more than one church...I don't get it.We keep building and building these buildings and calling them the church house. Who are we doing it for? Isn't it suppose to be about God Himself? Honestly....I can only live in one house...why would I have more...could it be.....MONEY..just asking. Not trying to offend anyone...I really would like to know. One man...4 houses...pointless. This is just my opinion. Now don't get me wrong I have NO problem giving to the Lord..I am obedient...but greed is a sin. Doesn't the Holy Bible say "The Lord is my shepard I shall not want"? Meaning if the Lord is my leader I don't have to want for ANYTHING. He knows what I need and He gives it to me. Don't get me wrong..God blessess us beyond measures. No doubt...but it is what we do with our blessings that says alot. If God has blessed you with one home...and you have the ability to help someone else get a home...what's the problem????? I believe He helps us to help others. Actually that's how we receive our blessings. Helping others. But somewhere down the line we loose sight on who it is REALLY suppose to be about. Instead we get self centered. We really live in an unbalanced world. So many millionares yet we have so many living in poverty...so many homes...yet so many homeless...we throw away leftovers...yet so many are hungry. I just don't get it.

I know what you mean, i don't get some things but we are not to judge, i know your not believe me, we are meant to do our part let God do the rest, here is the other side of it, i gave a lady at church a book for Christmas, she found out her neighbour had nothing and no one, the book was not a novel it was God talking to women, Kisses from God,something like that, my friend quickly read it then wrapped it for her nieghbour, WOW, 2 got blessed so did i really, someone gave 40 in the offreing for me for Christmas, thank you Lord, i found out someone was going on holiday not a lot of spending money she got the 40, He works, He will have His way, i don't worry about those with a lot, the lady that gave all she had is still spoken of to day, she made it into the Bible she is teaching us to day, It's God that bless what we have to give, like the loafes and fishes, sorry i go on a bit. We won't get a lot of things we just need to remember or trust that He is in control.

Thanks for your comment...and you are right we are not suppose to judge...and I am not...it was just some thoughts that I had. And yes there is always a brighter side to everything. I for one am not a millionaire nor homeless nor am I hungry. I am blessed beyond measures. And I am very happy with what I have and ALL of it comes from the Lord. But thanks for giving a brighter side of my thoughts..lol...I don't want to depress nobody...But the truth will set you free

What you said is true not judgemental, i went to Africa 4 years ago the Congo, what i saw hurt my eyes, broke my heart, i felt ashamed of what i had, yet i got there by the skin of my teeth, not a full bank account, i won't speak on this next bit i may end up in trouble, i met the Pastors i felt, what Bible do they read, SORRY, they were dressed like royals, driven around ect ect, it didn't fit, it was wrong, beautiful people but, i don't judge but like you i don't get them, can i say i have enjoyed your posts i hope keep them up they have made me think, thank you and God bless

I belive that alot of things are better left to the lord to handle.AS in the preacher with more than one church? why not expand if you are doing the lords work?i mean thats the whole point to spread the gospel right?so i would say the more we help the curch the more we have a place in times of need at least thats how it suppose to be.just keep doing your part mexbias08 and recieve your blessings god reveals all in due time

More Churches, the more opportunity to save souls. Most people tend to go to a church near their homes. There's a Walgreens on almost every corner of most cities. Nobody complains (I know you aren't complaining about more than one church, just an example) I think this is what Jesus was referring to when He said the children of this world are more shrewed than the godly are.) Luke 16:8 Even Disney has more than one location.

Hello everybody...maybe I came off wrong in what I was trying to say. Mrspiggy you are right..I am not complaining about the amount of churches. Far from that..I belive my title says it all. But if their is a minister with several churchs...God bless..if it IS for the Lord. But I use that for an example..maybe a bad one..but what's been done is done..lol..but seriously..my object was about helping others. For instance I have worked as a resturant manager for years..and if I work with the same employees, in the same position ,for years and yet I am steadily advancing...what does that tell you??? My goal should be to help train them for a another position(advancement). I won't be able to always carry that same position...we get older..we die..then who is left??? Someone has to be able to carry on the job. Now back to the preacher...and my point...who is it for??? Is it really for the glory of God? But I get you alls point....the more the merry...but I say not so IF it is not for the right reasons.
