God's Will
|

I am a believer who wants to live my life according to God's will. I have recently undergone many changes in my life as far as getting out of a bad relationship and trying to support myself financially. I have been praying about all of these things, but how do I know that what I am choosing is God's will and not my own Free will. I don't want to pollute God's plan for me with my own ideas and intentions.

Hello Jeremiah,
God's will is written out for all to read. The Bible holds the answer to your question. Whatever it is that you want to do, look it up in the Bible to see if it is something approved by His word. When you pray, speak, then listen for His answer. Ask Him for wisdom and discernment. He gives freely.

Hi Welcome!!! Nice to meet you!
Read and Meditate on God's Word!
You will learn to discern His voice,
from the voice of a stranger.
God knows every detail about you
and about your life.
(Please read Psalm 139.)
Then start reading all the Psalms!
You will be blessed!
Proverbs and James are wonderful too!
(I could go on, but I know once you get
started, you will want to keep going!
May God's Holy Spirit guide you!

This is a journey we are on and we are free thinkers and God wants to give us the desire of our heart. Do you have any desire of your heart. It is like a job and if you can see yourself as a new worker that arrived to work in a field bring in the harvest you must ask yourself what are my gifts which would be what am I good at. Some of us are water carriers, some of us or field workers, some of us or planters, and the list goes on and on. If you do not know what talents you have then ask God to show you and he will. I have been told that I have the gift of encouragement by others. I am cheering the workers on and taking them water when they are thirsty. Jesus, need workers to help bring in the harvest. Jesus said "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." I will pray with you, Heavenly Father, I come to you with this new believer that you will show them what they can do for your Kingdom that lines up with your will. Lord, show them how important they are and how much you value them no matter what their calling is in your Kingdom. Lord, direct their feet to go in the direction that will bring you glory and I pray that they will have the confidence in knowing that you will give them whatever they need to do your will. Lord, I pray that they will walk by faith and not by sight. Lord, I pray that you will protect them and strengthen them doing this time that they seek your will for their journey on the road to your Kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Bless them in all the areas of their life and let them remember to always give you glory.
Welcome to the Family of God.

I have had many questions about God's will in my life, like "how do i know if this is what He really wants for me," and such. But i have found that when i stay consistent in His word, EVERYDAY, and consistent in prayer with Him, throughout the day, knowing His will is much easier. I have also found that denying myself was a big factor in being able to really hear God and know what He wanted for me. In denying myself, i would fast from things such as food for certain periods of time, because denying the flesh is making the spirit stronger. Somtimes i would fast from things that were starting to take my attention away, so i could tune into Him more. My best advice is to stay constantly connected and trying fasting :)
