Since I came to know Christ in 1995, I have been set free from many things. Me, Myself, and I living, Fear of everything, Anger, Hate, Jealousy, Unforgiveness toward others, Severe Depression, Hopelessness, Negative Thinking, Self-Centeredness, Lying, Drinking, Stealing, Witchcraft, Religion without God, Self Destruction in thoughts, words, and actions, Etc.
Only God could love someone as messed up as I was.
Funny, I used to think all of this was normal...
Yet, I always knew in my heart I was missing something.
I was never happy or content.
I used to tell myself, "Stop the world, I want to get off..."
The day I met Jesus, I found my place in the world.
I am so thankful He saved me!

Praise God.

I have been set free from the need to always be right. "Things", fear, junk food and gambling. He is still working on me. More to come...

Looking back over my life, I think I looked at my salvation as a gamble....sometimes I won, sometimes I lost. To me, God's approval of me was based on how good I had been or not been. Thank God, I have been set free from legalistic religion. I, in the past for some "churchy"reason, felt that God dropped the gavel, and pronounced me guilty every time I didn't measure up to the "church rules for Godly living"......Being raised in a "Pentecostal" church was almost the end of my coming to know a loving and forgiving heavenly Father. Thank God for saving me and teaching me about Who Jesus is and truly what His death, burial, and resurrection meant for me personally.......
Like mrspiggy....set free from the fear of bing a failure before God. My salvation was always so "ify"..Thank God, in Christ Jesus, I can be secure in my salvation.
